CHARLES DICKENS’ 200th birthday

LeteratureAfternoonES3_001Celebrating the English writer CHARLES DICKENS’ 200th birthday, the students from year 3 ES presented an interactive talk in English to the students in years 4, 5 and 6 EP last Thursday, 12 July as the end of a term project carried out during their English Literature classes.
After having studied Dickens’ GREAT EXPECTATIONS, the students performed as each of the characters in the novel, telling the little ones about their lives, conflicts and all the time inviting them to read, as reading is fun.

On the occasion, we also discussed the names of the School’s three Houses: Shaw, Doyle and Wilde, their significance and how reading and literature can be a great joy.LeteratureAfternoonES3_002
Congratulations to all year 3 ES, and to the students in Primary, who listened and interacted with interest and enthusiasm.
